Dua Lipa is a Brit singer/songwriter from London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. After a stint as a model and actress, she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album peaked at the top spot at No. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles that were released, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules. In the United States it peaked as number 6. Lipa's album, which has now been recognized as Platinum in several nations around the globe, won her the two Brit Awards (in 2018) for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was born in London on August 22 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. As a result of her maternal grandparent, Dua Lipa is Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be identified back to the Kosovo cities of Peja. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has one younger brother, named Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by her father, who is the principal musician and vocalist for the Kosovan band Oda.
