She released her debut single Here in 2015, when she was just 19. The track received praise from music critics and listeners. It was ranked in the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it at 19. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of the year. It was the same time when she dropped Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful One of her five original tracks that was featured on the Billboard Charts which include Billboard Hot 100 for Canada, and Billboard 200 for Canada's Album Charts. This track was special because, based on her Rap-Up interview she gave many of her listeners were able to relate to her experience in discovering their own love as well as doubting herself. Cara includes messages of kindness and loving yourself into her music. She's been in the midst of insomnia and anxiety, which have influenced her journey. In a Reuters interview, she described the album as being half turbulent and half well-crafted. She says she grew through therapy and she encourages anyone else to seek out assistance when needed. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. When she was just 10 years old, her parents bought her a guitar which became the beginning of her love for music. She started covering the songs she loved at 13, to prove to that world that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be the next singer. Sweater Weather was the most famous song. An album label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her write songs.
